Etna winery tour from Catania

For food and wine lovers, a private tour designed to discover the area of Etna most suited to viticulture: we are talking about the northern side of Etna, where the most representative wines of the whole Sicily are produced.

The particular sandy conformation of the terrain formed by the disintegration of lava, rich in ash and mineral salts, has given rise to a very ancient tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation, witnessed by old vines cultivated with the indigenous vines of the area. 

You won't have to think about anything! In fact, the tour includes pick-up from Catania and neighbouring municipalities, a visit and tasting in one or two wineries (option of your choice), and a lunch with local products. Among the wineries you can visit are Gambino, Scilio or Cottanera.

- Tour of 2 wine cellars

Departing at 9:30 a.m. from your accommodation, you will explore the northern side of Etna, which is full of renowned wine cellars. 

Arriving around 10:30 a.m. at the first winery, you will first visit the cellar and vineyards, and then move on to a wine tasting accompanied by oil and breadsticks.

You will go on to discover the second winery in Linguaglossa where you will stop for lunch. 
After visiting the vineyards and the wine cellar, you will enjoy a rich lunch of various Sicilian appetisers, a first course, a second course, dessert and water. Each course will be accompanied by a wine.

After lunch, around 15:30, you will return to your accommodation in Catania.

- Tour of 1 wine cellar

You will leave your accommodation at around 10:00 a.m. and reach the wine cellar after about an hour. You will first visit the winery and vineyards, then enjoy an excellent lunch of typical local products accompanied by a tasting of 3 wines.

After lunch, around 15:30, you will return to your accommodation in Catania.

The tour is conducted with a driver, who will try to satisfy your every need. The car is exclusive: you will not share the car with other people. Departure: 09:30/10:00 (depending on the option chosen). Return: approx. 16:30.
